WINMAP™ is a platform developed by WCC for producing microneedle/microarray patches (MAPs). This platform enables WCC to incorporates various active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) inside the microneedle for a wide range of purposes, including cosmetics, healthcare, drugs, and vaccines. The platform is supported by four core technologies that cover the entire production process of MAPs:

• M2DF: consists of two databases; the microneedle material database and the microneedle formulation database. These robust in-house databases allow for the prompt selection of suitable ingredients and formulation methods that align with the product specifications/product function plan/regulatory requirement.
• PD²F: it is critical to understand the successful penetration (P) rate of MAPs into human body. the solid MAPs will dissolve (D), diffuse (D) into designated areas and function (F). To fully understand the four mechanisms enables WCC to develop MAPs with high efficacy and accuracy.
• PLC (precision coating and loading): is an advanced MAPs fabrication technique derived from micromolding. PLC ensures that the MAPs produced have consistent and precise drug loading.
• AMASS: WCC's production process incorporates automatic mass production across all sections. This enables WCC to achieve high yield (≥95%) and capacities (10 million MAPs yearly) to meet our client needs.

Another essential factor that makes WINMAP™ exceptional is the microneedle technology that WCC uses, which is dissolving microneedles. Dissolving microneedles are one of the five types of microneedles that exist in the world. Each type of microneedle has its advantages, but what makes dissolving microneedles superior are:

• The structures are made from biodegradable materials that dissolve under the skin without leaving any harmful residue.
• They are suitable for drugs that need systemic release.
• Dissolving microneedles won’t leave any sharp waste after use, and all materials are biodegradable, preventing pharmaceutical waste.
• It reduces the risk of needle-stick injuries.
• It allows for self-administration.
• It eliminates the need for cold chain storage, reducing logistic costs.

Additionally, what makes WCC’s microneedle technology unique is its three-layered microneedle structure, which is globally patented. This three-layered structure concentrates all of the APIs in the microneedle tip, the middle layer provides a barrier to prevent a back diffusion effect, and back layer as a strong microneedle foundation. This ensures that the microneedle penetrates the skin and all the drug concentrated in the tip is delivered to the skin with absorption error ≦10%.
