The evaluation process goes far beyond regular blind tasting. Monde Selection’s food jury takes the time to share their knowledge and experience. The tasting sessions consist of an individual analysis that focuses on all aspects of the product’s quality.
OUR JURY EXPERTS
For the evaluation of food products, Monde Selection collaborates with eminent professionals such as Michelin-starred chefs, Euro-Toques, members of the “Académie Culinaire de France” and other prestigious associations, internationally renowned pastry and chocolate makers, university professors, chemical engineers and nutrition consultants.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
In order to guarantee a fair and comprehensive analysis for the consumer, the evaluation takes into account the intrinsic quality of the product according to international standards such as ISO Norms (5492:2008), legal prescriptions and industry guidelines.
The evaluation starts with a presentation of the product to the expert who will evaluate its sensory qualities such as taste, aroma, texture, flavour, mouthfeel or any other relevant organoleptic criteria. Other important parameters, such as ingredients, clarity of information regarding product composition, packaging, ease of preparation, and instruction sheets
are also assessed.
