The revised version of Annex 1 of the PIC/S GMP was announced in September 2022 and came into effect on August 25, 2023. This revision is significant for manufacturers of "sterile medicinal products" as it will promote greater global harmonization of standards in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, contributing to improved quality and safety of medicinal products.
