Proton Therapy is a technology to defeat cancer accurately. By using the physical characteristic of “Bragg Peak”, the high-energy proton beam can destroy cancer cells and reduce to harm other normal cells. Due to the significant increase in the global cancer population, there is a growing international demand for proton therapy as a treatment for tumors.

Chinan Biomedical Technology (CBT) has integrated relevant technologies from domestic industries and academic research. Now Chinan implements iProton®, the state-of-the-art Proton Therapy System which is made in Taiwan, and provides “Proton Therapy, Total Solution”. Our solution combines a synchrotron with adjustable energy, pencil-beam scanning therapy technology, a 6D robotic couch system, and an in-room CT scanner for image-guided radiation therapy. This integrated system provides high-quality proton therapy to meet the clinical needs of cancer patients. Now we have assembled all parts of iProton®, and begin testing and validating. Also in the end of the year we will make a submission to FDA 510(k) of the U.S.
