This technology platform consists of two core technology, MPGene and shGEL-X. MPGene is a non-viral magnetic gene transfection technology. Compared with the commercially available reagents, MPGene displayed much higher transfection efficiency (50-80% vs 10-25%) on human mesenchymal stem cells. shGEL-X is an injectable hydrogel system, which is designated to improve stem cell transplantation efficiency. The hydrogel technology possesses many advantages on cell therapy applications, including injectability, cell protection, biodegradability, and low production cost.

Our team is led by Chien-Wen Chang from the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Environmental Sciences at National Tsing Hua University. Professor Chang has extensive research experience in the fields of biomaterials, nanotechnology, and regenerative medicine. Our team members include several graduate students from National Tsing Hua University, all dedicated to developing advanced nanomaterials and technologies for applications in gene delivery, cell therapy, immunotherapy, and tissue engineering.
