Our team demonstrated two products: dressing materials and dressings.
The dressing material is a hydrogel. The hydrogel material is made of natural polysaccharide, biodegradable and less likely to pollute natural environment . It also has better water absorption and drainage functions, and can be used to store bioactive solution and allow the skin to absorb them. At the same time, it also has enough degree of stability at higher temperatures, and has the advantages in longer-distance transportation. Hydrogels also have certain mechanical properties and can be stretched to fit perfectly to the body surface.This invention is suitable for preparations for medical, dental or cosmetic use.
The dressing is refined egg yolk oil. The simple process of removing color and stink odor from traditional egg yolk oil makes it easier to mass-produce. While retaining the naturalness of the material after the process of removing color and smell, it also expands the applicability of egg yolk oil. It also is stable enough after removal of color and taste, which is beneficial to the preservation of the egg yolk oil itself.

Our team consists of professors and students from the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Materials of Tamkang University. Our professional fields cover such as enzymology, proteomics, genetic engineering, developmental biology, cancer biology, chemical biology, physical chemistry, chemical mathematics, and biopolymers. Our team has more than ten invention patents from the United States, Japan, and Taiwan, including inventions such as protein purification, lipid purification, dressing materials, smart medical material manufacturing processes, food health care, and recycling. One of the members served as the R&D director of Tamkang University. During his tenure, he actively promoted industry-university cooperation, matchmaking with the industry, and patent applications. As a result, he also accumulated a lot of valuable experience in industry-university management.
