TME-chip, Tumor micro-environment-chip
Category: Biotech Service
Exhibitor: PYTHIA BIOTECH LTD.
Booth No: N915
Characteristic
The TME-chip is a poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) based bio-chip. It features one central inlet for tumor cells embedded in GelMA hydrogel to flow into three 3D chambers. Additionally, there is a belt area surrounding the 3D chambers for immune cells, and three additional inlets for testing combination treatments. The TME-chip can also be designed to measure cytokine secretion.
In the chip, tumor cells are directed into the 3D chambers and immobilized with a brief exposure to UV light in the GelMA. This process utilizes a photomask for precision.
The TME-chip reconstitutes a pathological environment in 3D space, faithfully reproducing the structure and composition of a cold tumor in vitro. It is applicable for drug testing and toxin testing.
Currently, its clinical application primarily focuses on drug testing for non-small cell lung cancer, especially for combined therapy involving chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
