Olprogel is novel biomaterial for permanent bone-implant fixation. In brief, Olprogel can replace bone cement and be applied on regular or irregular bone defect sites, and the osteoconductive feature will promote cell ingrowth from native tissue region and form new bone tissues. In addition, the gel-like and porous structure facilitates better osteointegration. Moreover, some antibiotics can also be combined with Olprogel to avoid osteomyelitis.
