Use of Cerebral Dopamine Neurotrophic Factor For Ameliorating Pneumonia
Category: Pharmaceutical
Exhibitor: NATIONAL DEFENSE MEDICAL CENTER
Booth No: N/A
Characteristic
Cerebral Dopamine Neurotrophic Factor (CDNF) is an endoplasmic reticulum stress-regulating protein that is mainly produced by nerve cells. It can protect neuron cells by regulating endoplasmic reticulum stress and resist microglia. This recombinant protein drug has been used to treat Parkinson's disease in humans and has passed the first phase of clinical trials with high safety. Our team is the first to apply recombinant CDNF protein to treat severe pneumonia caused by respiratory viruses, including SARS-CoV2 and influenza A virus. Our animal experiment results show that recombinant CDNF protein can effectively improve severe pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV2 and influenza A virus infection, verifying that recombinant CDNF protein has a clinical application value in treating severe pneumonia caused by emerging respiratory viruses.
