DS MAP is one of WCC’s key products currently under development. It features Diclofenac Sodium (DS)—a widely used pain-relief agent—delivered through our microarray patches (MAPs) platform. While DS is commonly available in oral, topical, and transdermal forms, our MAPs technology uses micro-scale dissolvable needles to deliver the drug directly and precisely into the affected area.
This targeted delivery allows for faster onset and greater effectiveness. Internal preclinical studies have shown that DS MAPs can provide noticeable pain relief within 30 minutes, with effects lasting over 8 hours—outperforming traditional formulations that often require prolonged, consistent use.
