Bio Asia-Taiwan Exhibition 2018 was truly a history-making bio event in Asia. This year the event covered 2 floors, 600 exhibitors and 1400 booths, making the largest bio business platform ever in Taiwan. On the 4th floor the exhibits clustered into biomedical, pharmaceutical, gene, biotech services, equipment, instrument and academic research; and bio-based healthcare and cosmetology products on the 1st floor.

Remarkable Figures
Fairgoers count has also been growing steadily each year, in 2018 it lands at 100,938 in total, breaking previous history. To be worth mentioning, the visitor counts on weekdays are climbing in contrast to the weekend days (mostly general publics), which shows Bio Asia-Taiwan Exhibition is definitely more of a business/professional event.
Bio Asia-Taiwan Exhibition 2018 has achieved its new milestone attracting the biggest number of exhibitors and visitors since the event’s first launch. In 2018 it hosted a total of 1,665 foreign visitors from 27 countries and areas : China, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Switzerland , France, UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherland, Russia, Iran, Burkina Faso, USA, Canada. 62% of them are mostly from Asian countries, following by ASEAN.

Exhibitor Presentation
Leading the show on opening day are Exhibitor Presentations. Presenter lineup includes Taiwan, China, Japan and Switzerland, covering 85 sessions, and the overall count of attendees settles at 2,414, the majority of them are from Asia.
Hot topics includes Next-Generation Sequencing Technology Shapes the Cancer Clinics, Immune Therapy innovation updates, cross-strait operation models and investment focus, progress, innovation and internationalization of China's pharmaceutical regulations, the trend of biotechnology in the field of food and skin care, summer skincare and market trends and etc. We hope these topics had provided relevant visitors and investors with the latest business cooperation models in an effort to stimulate innovation ideas and broaden global networks.
Academia Technology Presentation
This year, ‘Academia Technology Transfer Zone’ was introduced for the first time to present the most recent results on biotechnology research and development. Participating institutions will include DCC Taiwan, Academia Sinica, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taipei Medical University, Kaohsiung Medical University, and National Yang-Ming University. We hope some of the ideas presented can be implemented along with a level of commercial feasibility that would allowing scientific research to achieve practical impacts.
