While Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) have revolutionized the oncology sector over the last decade, TaiMed Biologics is exploring the application of ADC technology beyond oncology, including CD4-targeted approaches for infectious disease. The presentation will introduce a novel therapeutic concept leveraging TMB-365—TaiMed's proprietary, second-generation monoclonal antibody directed against the CD4 receptor—engineered into a targeted ADC platform. This innovative approach aims to target and selectively eliminate reservoirs of HIV-infected cells, providing a potential pathway toward a functional cure and driving the future of precision immune therapies.
"Adapting the structural specificity of our TMB-365 platform into an advanced CD4-targeted ADC represents a paradigm shift in TaiMed’s approach to HIV management, moving from lifelong viral suppression toward a functional cure,” said Dr. Jimmy Chang, CEO of TaiMed Biologics. "By combining precision targeting with potent therapeutic payloads designed to address persistent viral reservoirs, TaiMed is pursuing durable, treatment-free remission for people living with HIV. We’re eager to share our latest preclinical insights and R&D strategies with the global scientific community at BIO Asia-Taiwan 2026."
The BIO Asia-Taiwan 2026 conference brings together biotechnology leaders, researchers, and policymakers from across the globe to discuss breakthrough achievements and promote international collaborations. TaiMed's inclusion in the Next Generation ADC forum highlights the expanding clinical versatility of conjugate platforms and reinforces the company's position at the cutting edge of global biotechnology innovation.
