2025 BIO Asia-Taiwan Exhibition Foreign Buyer Incentive Program
Applicants for the following subsidies must submit their applications to the exhibition organizer, Chan Chao International Enterprise Co., Ltd., at least two months prior to the exhibition. All applications will undergo a qualification review. Qualified applicants will be notified via email by the organizer. If applicants book flights or accommodations without prior approval from the organizer, they will be responsible for all associated costs and will forfeit their eligibility for the subsidy.
Application Period
Applications will close once the maximum capacity is reached, as incentives are limited. The organizer will post an update on this page when all allocations have been filled. Please note that individual notifications will not be sent regarding the application closure.
Eligibility
Category 1: Key Foreign Buyers
- Buyers from developed countries (Note 1) whose companies have achieved an annual revenue of at least USD 15 million in any of the past three years.
- Buyers from emerging markets (Note 2) whose companies have achieved an annual revenue of at least USD 1.5 million in any of the past three years.
- Top three importers, wholesalers, or chain stores in their region.
- Venture capital firms with a total investment of at least USD 25 million, or a minimum of USD 25,000 per investment with at least 20 investments.
Category 2: Small and Micro Enterprises Foreign Buyers
- Buyers from developed countries (Note 1) whose companies have achieved an annual revenue of at least USD 300,000 in any of the past three years.
- Buyers from emerging markets (Note 2) whose companies have achieved an annual revenue of at least USD 100,000 in any of the past three years.
Notes:
- Applicants must not accept other preferential subsidies or incentives from the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) in the current year.
- Applicants must hold a non-Taiwanese passport; green cards or any other residency permits are not accepted.
- Companies that are foreign subsidiaries, overseas headquarters/branches, or affiliated companies of exhibitors are not eligible for the subsidy.
- The applicant’s company must operate in an industry relevant to the exhibition.
Note 1: "Developed countries" refers to Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States.
Note 2: "Emerging markets" refers to countries other than those listed as "developed countries" above.
Note 3: This year's subsidies exclude applications from Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Russia, Belarus, and Mainland China (including Hong Kong and Macau).
Incentives and Services
Category 1: Key Foreign Buyers
- Airfare
- One round-trip economy class ticket from the buyer's country to Taiwan.
- The applicant's itinerary must include a minimum stay of two days in Taiwan during the exhibition period.
- Applicants must submit their applications to Chan Chao International Enterprise Co., Ltd. within the allocated application period, along with the necessary documentation. Upon approval, they will be eligible to book air tickets or may request assistance from TAITRA’s overseas offices to facilitate the ticket booking.
- Accommodation
- A maximum of TWD 20,000 is available for hotel accommodations and airport transfer services.
- The stay should occur from the night before the exhibition opens until the night it closes, with a maximum duration of four nights.
- Accommodations should be made at the designated hotels, with all billing and documentation handled by the hotel. The hotel will subsequently claim the expenses directly from the appropriate authority following the exhibition.
Category 2: Small and Micro Enterprises Foreign Buyers
*Only one application for accommodation subsidy is allowed per foreign company.
- Accommodation
- A maximum of TWD 15,000 is available for hotel accommodations and airport transfer services.
- The stay should occur from the night before the exhibition opens until the night it closes, with a maximum duration of four nights.
- Accommodations should be made at the designated hotels, with all billing and documentation handled by the hotel. The hotel will subsequently claim the expenses directly from the appropriate authority following the exhibition.

The organizer will submit the application for the authority's review upon receiving it from the applicant. The review process will take approximately 15 to 30 working days. Applicants will be notified by email of the status of their application.
Additional Notes
- To ensure the rights of all exhibitors are respected, each exhibitor is limited to inviting a maximum of three individuals.
- All changes to the room type, costs outside the scope of this service, or cancellations will be the responsibility of the applicant.
- The applicant must hold a non-Taiwanese passport; green cards or any other residency permits will not be accepted.
- Applicants are solely responsible for their visa applications. The organizer will not provide assistance in this process.
- The company name and the applicant's name on the documents must correspond exactly to those specified in the approval letter.
- Subsidies will not be provided if the applicant's identification is in question or if there is no record of their attendance.
- Applicants are required to complete all items on the questionnaire to qualify for reimbursement. Failure to do so will result in ineligibility for reimbursement.
- Accommodation is limited to designated hotels, with reimbursement based on actual expenses reported by the hotel. Personal expenses cannot be included.
- Accompanying individuals are not covered by the subsidy and must provide their passport, overseas buyer badge, business card, and complete a questionnaire.
- This subsidy is designed to invite and engage international buyers to explore Taiwan, fostering international business opportunities and driving the expansion of the Taiwan industry into global markets.
- The organizer reserves the right to make final modifications, changes, interpretations, and cancellations of this event.
