Noah AI is developing AI Clinical Expert, an AI-powered platform designed to support hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and clinical research teams across the full clinical research lifecycle.

The platform focuses on key workflows including protocol design, medical writing, protocol review, document management, medical translation, project collaboration, and quality control. Its goal is to help research teams improve efficiency, reduce repetitive work, identify risks earlier, and enhance the standardization and traceability of clinical research processes.

Core Capabilities Already Validated

The project has already completed and validated several core modules.

First, the platform supports clinical study synopsis writing, helping generate key protocol components such as study background, study design, endpoint design, control group design, sample size estimation, and enrollment rate estimation. It also includes a built-in sample size calculator, supports enrollment feasibility estimation based on public data, and helps design guideline-based standard control groups.

Second, Noah AI has developed an IIT protocol review module in collaboration with a leading top-tier hospital in China. The module assists with reviewing research protocols from the perspectives of scientific validity, regulatory consistency, ethical appropriateness, and document completeness. The hospital partner has provided highly positive feedback, and the project has entered a human-versus-AI comparative evaluation stage, with plans to support future academic publication.

Third, the platform provides medical translation capabilities powered by terminology databases. It can translate clinical protocols, informed consent forms, clinical study reports, regulatory documents, and other medical materials while largely preserving the original document layout.

Building Toward Multi-Role Clinical Research Collaboration

Looking ahead, AI Clinical Expert will expand into a full-chain platform covering research site teams, pharmaceutical sponsors, administrators, and cross-functional departments such as PV, DM, STAT, and RA.

Planned capabilities include project progress tracking, task assignment, document circulation, knowledge base management, quality control, medical writing, medical review, and multi-department collaboration.

Through this project, Noah AI aims to make AI a professional assistant embedded throughout clinical research workflows—not only helping users write or translate, but also supporting protocol design, quality control, project collaboration, and compliance management in a more efficient, standardized, and traceable way.
