In an era where voice AI and medical technology are increasingly converging, the Taiwanese startup “KVQ Intellect,” founded less than six months ago, has demonstrated remarkable performance by emerging in the 2024 INTERSPEECH international competition. The team achieved second place in Asia and first place in Taiwan in the bilingual (Chinese–English) Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) AI prediction task. In the MMSE (Mini-Mental State Examination) score prediction task, it ranked first in Asia, while its Mandarin prediction accuracy exceeded 90%, setting a new benchmark for the feasibility and precision of voice AI in medical applications and injecting new momentum into Taiwan’s medical AI industry.

The core technology of “KVQ Intellect” combines voice biomarker recognition with semantic understanding models. By analyzing cognitive function through everyday language use, it enables rapid, non-invasive assessment of early signs of Mild Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer's disease, aphasia, and other neurocognitive conditions. This provides an immediate and user-friendly early screening tool for aging societies. This innovation not only significantly shortens diagnostic workflows but also reduces the burden on healthcare personnel, demonstrating strong potential in preventive medicine and intelligent healthcare.
