LIS TECH|Introducing ROKIT Healthcare’s 3D Bioprinting Technology to Advance Regenerative Medicine Research in Taiwan
As 3D bioprinting technology continues to evolve, global interest in its applications for personalized medicine and regenerative therapy is rapidly growing. LIS TECH CO., LTD. has introduced advanced 3D bioprinting systems from ROKIT Healthcare to Taiwan’s research community, aiming to support domestic development in tissue engineering and biomedical materials.
ROKIT Healthcare’s 3D bioprinters feature a clean chamber design and a modular printing system, enabling the use of various materials such as cell suspensions, hydrogels, and thermoplastic filaments. The printers also incorporate 4D curved-surface printing technology, which facilitates the simulation of complex, non-flat human tissue structures, significantly improving printing accuracy. The research-focused model, Dr. INVIVO 4D2, is particularly well-suited for cell printing and tissue engineering applications, offering a sterile environment and flexible material compatibility to meet a wide range of regenerative medicine research needs.
For more advanced capabilities, the Dr. INVIVO 4D6 integrates six interchangeable printing modules and includes features such as automatic calibration, independent temperature control, and a built-in cell culture incubator. It also comes equipped with a recirculating HEPA filtration system and an optional H₂O₂ plasma sterilization module, enhancing both operational safety and cell viability. Additionally, an integrated microscope allows researchers to monitor the printing process in real time, further improving experimental control and efficiency.
Internationally, ROKIT Healthcare’s technology is FDA-registered and has been combined with AI to develop customized patches for chronic wound healing and cartilage tissue repair. Clinical trials are also underway for kidney regeneration patches, underscoring the technology’s potential in the field of regenerative medicine. In Taiwan, however, relevant regulatory frameworks—such as the "Dual Acts for Regenerative Medicine"—are still in the process of implementation. All applications of this technology must undergo review and approval by the appropriate authorities before clinical use.
LIS TECH will showcase ROKIT Healthcare’s Dr. INVIVO 4D2 bioprinter at the 2025 BIO Asia–Taiwan Exhibition, highlighting its potential in regenerative medicine research and advanced biomanufacturing.Several academic and research institutions in Taiwan have already adopted the technology for related studies, reflecting strong local interest and growing demand for high-end bioprinting capabilities. Moving forward, LIS TECH will continue to collaborate with domestic and international research institutions and industry partners to drive innovation in regenerative medicine and clinical research, contributing to the advancement of precision and personalized healthcare.
