The BARDA Vaccine Innovation Forum was a prestigious event hosted by the U.S. Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) and managed by Luminary Labs. This forum celebrated the advancement of vaccine delivery—particularly through microarray patches (MAPs) technology. A key highlight of the event was the announcement of the winners of the year-long Patch Forward Prize competition, which recognized early-stage innovations in mRNA vaccine MAPs.

Held on January 13, 2025, in San Francisco, California, the forum brought together hundreds of researchers, developers, policymakers, industry leaders, and representatives from government and nonprofit organizations. It served as a global platform to spotlight MAP advancements and discuss the future of vaccine accessibility and innovation. The event also received strong support from key global health organizations, including the Gates Foundation, WHO, PATH, GAVI, UNICEF, and VIPS—all of whom were in attendance.

WCC Biomedical was honored to be invited to this influential gathering. We had the opportunity to showcase our progress and capabilities in mRNA vaccine MAPs development and scalable manufacturing to an international audience. The event provided valuable insights into regulatory expectations, stakeholder priorities, and future directions for vaccine MAPs. We also established connections with potential collaborators, further advancing our mission of delivering a “Cure Without Fear.”
