With early cancer detection still hindered by complex processes and limited access, Taiwan-based Vitae Biomedical Co., Ltd. is breaking new ground with a novel, urine-based platform. The company's lead product—a non-invasive urine test for lung cancer—has received CE IVD certification and demonstrates impressive performance: when paired with low-dose CT (LDCT), it achieves approximately 99% sensitivity and 95% specificity, offering clinicians a highly accurate and efficient tool for diagnosis.

Even as a standalone test, the assay delivers an accuracy of over 85%, making it an ideal solution for underserved populations and patients who require frequent monitoring. Vitae Biomedical is currently enhancing its platform and is planning to incorporate point-of-care systems in the future to support broader applications, including multi-disease detection and home-based health monitoring.

Beyond technological innovation, Vitae Biomedical is making significant strides in intellectual property and commercialization. The company holds patents in the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, and Australia, and has extended filings across the EU, East Asia, and South Asia. Clinically, it has formed partnerships with major Taiwanese medical institutions and is actively pursuing regulatory access and commercial distribution in markets around the world.

Ahead of its upcoming investment forum roadshow, Vitae Biomedical is seeking to connect with partners who share its vision for accessible, non-invasive testings.
