Taipei, July 17, 2025 – APN LifeSciences, a company dedicated to innovation in the diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases, announced its participation in the international biotech event BioAsia Taiwan 2025, taking place from July 24 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. At booth number M420, APN LifeSciences will highlight its commitment to early screening and diagnosis of dementia, as well as its vision to establish a brain health platform in collaboration with researchers, policymakers, physicians, and associations to bring hope to patients and caregivers.

In addition to exhibiting, Dr. Ming-Kuei Jang, CEO of APN LifeSciences, will join the Alzheimer’s Disease Special Forum on the afternoon of July 25. He will speak alongside leading medical experts, biotech innovators, and policymakers from Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. The forum will explore future directions in dementia detection — from next-generation diagnostic platforms, molecular imaging tracers, and advanced PET technologies to blood biomarkers. It will also cover breakthrough treatments, including immunotherapies, protein degradation technologies, as well as astrocyte regulation and neuroinflammation suppression.

Two prominent researchers from Japan’s National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (QST), a close academic partner of APN LifeSciences, will also participate: Dr. Makoto Higuchi, Director of QST’s Advanced Neuroimaging Center, and Dr. Taiga Yamaya, expert in Imaging Physics at QST. They will share insights on the development of next-generation diagnostic systems for dementia and the value of a novel helmet-type PET scanner in improving diagnosis.

Dr. Jang emphasized, “Dementia has become a major global public health issue that no single country can tackle alone. We must prioritize technological innovation, international collaboration, and policy leadership to build a more effective system for early diagnosis and prevention”. He noted that this forum exemplifies these values, especially as Taiwan enters a super-aged society, and underlines the need to establish a precise early screening, diagnosis, and prevention system to strengthen the resilience of Taiwan’s healthcare system.
