Prof. LIAO SHU CHUAN-- Low temperature Atmospheric Plasma Activation × Zwitterionic Hydrogel: Antibacterial Adhesion and High Lubricity Coating Application on Urinary Catheter Surfaces
Category: Medical Devices
Exhibitor: TAMKANG UNIVERSITY
Booth No: N315A
Characteristic
**Characteristic**
Surface modification using low-temperature atmospheric plasma followed by grafting of zwitterionic hydrogels can give the catheter a dual function (antibacterial adhesion and improved lubricity). Antibacterial adhesion reduces infection rates, while enhanced lubricity minimizes patient discomfort.
**R & D team/Company Profile**
Our research team specializes in surface modification and developing functional biomedical coatings based on low-temperature plasma technology and polymeric materials. Through the integration of professional expertise and interdisciplinary collaboration, we are dedicated to enhancing the biocompatibility, antibacterial performance, and comfort of medical devices. Our goal is to translate these technologies into clinical applications to improve patient care quality and medical outcomes.
