Characteristic
To address the challenges of "underwater invisibility" and the "difficulty of quantifying empirical knowledge" in offshore cage farming, this system features a collaborative surface and underwater monitoring platform.
Its core technical highlights include:
1. Surface Feeding Analysis: Utilizing semantic segmentation to detect splash patterns, converting the observational experience of professional farmers into a quantified "Feeding Intensity" index.
2. Underwater Growth Monitoring: Equipped with restoration algorithms to overcome high-turbidity environments, the system employs stereo vision and field-of-view (FOV) back-projection technology to estimate total fish count and size without the need for physical harvesting.
Featuring a modular design, this system can be flexibly configured to meet both onshore and offshore requirements (such as integrating sonar), breaking through the limitations of existing commercial solutions that focus solely on water quality monitoring or rule-based automated feeding.
By focusing on the precise monitoring of the aquatic organisms themselves through a "perception before decision-making" strategy, the system is currently undergoing testing in Penghu. We are actively fine-tuning our models in collaboration with local operators to ensure that the AI is no longer a "black box" but a transparent, trustworthy tool.
By transforming empirical experience into objective scientific data, the system is expected to reduce feed costs and environmental water load by 10-15%, providing a substantive push for industrial upgrading.
