Characteristic
Medical-Grade Collagen Series for Medical Devices
Collagen Solutions offers a certified, high-purity medical-grade collagen series designed specifically for applications in tissue engineering, implantable devices, and regenerative medicine. All collagen materials are sourced from BSE-free regions and manufactured under strict GMP, ISO 13485, ISO 22442, and EDQM standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, traceability, and safety for clinical applications.
This product series includes both soluble and freeze-dried collagens, widely used in coating biomaterials, scaffold fabrication, drug delivery systems, and hemostatic medical devices.
Soluble Collagen
Features:
Derived from bovine tendon, primarily Type I collagen with ~5% Type III.
Supplied as an acidic pH 2 solution, which can be neutralized to pH 7.0 to form fibrils—ideal for creating 3D matrices that mimic in vivo environments.
Available in two formulations:
Atelocollagen (pepsin-extracted, telopeptide-removed): 3mg/mL, 6mg/mL
Telocollagen (acid-extracted, telopeptide-retained): 6mg/mL
Applications:
Coating of medical devices
Wound dressings
Tissue scaffolds
Cell therapy carriers
Hemostatic agents and bioadhesives
3D cell culture and bioprinting
Freeze-Dried Collagen
Features:
Purified polymeric Type I collagen from bovine tendon, available as sheets or milled powder.
Long-fiber, insoluble form ideal for downstream processing into scaffolds or composite biomaterials; not suitable for gel formation.
Applications:
Structural scaffolds for implants
Medical implant development
Carriers for regenerative medicine
Customized raw material for medical devices
