Characteristic
NeuroMirror Neuro-Driven Digital Mirror Rehabilitation System is an intelligent rehabilitation support platform designed for upper-limb training after stroke. Unlike conventional mirror therapy boxes that provide only passive 1:1 reflection, NeuroMirror integrates brain-computer interface technology, digital image processing, and multisensory feedback to provide patients with clearer, more motivating, and more adaptive visual movement feedback during rehabilitation.
The system features a unified central spine arm that integrates a top-down high-speed camera, a high-refresh-rate display, and a retractable occlusion shield. This structure allows fast switching between left- and right-side training modes while reducing space requirements and visual interference. The system captures movements of the unaffected hand, processes the image through background removal, mirroring, and digital gain enhancement, and displays an amplified, accelerated, and smoother mirror movement over the affected-side field of view.
A key feature of NeuroMirror is its neuro-driven closed-loop control. The system uses EEG sensing to monitor the patient’s motor intention and combines it with an IMU trigger band that detects subtle movements of the affected limb. Dynamic visual gain feedback is activated only when both neural intention and physical movement signals are detected, helping strengthen the connection among motor intention, affected-limb activation, and positive visual feedback.
NeuroMirror also integrates dual-layer auditory neuromodulation, including background binaural beats and foreground rhythmic auditory stimulation. Before training, Alpha-frequency audiovisual guidance helps the patient enter a relaxed and focused state. During training, Gamma-frequency multisensory stimulation and rhythmic auditory cues support movement initiation, attention maintenance, and rehabilitation rhythm.
NeuroMirror is suitable for rehabilitation departments, neurorehabilitation centers, long-term care facilities, day care centers, and home-based rehabilitation settings. It can serve as a smart assistive tool for post-stroke upper-limb rehabilitation, motor intention activation, and digital mirror therapy.
