This technology is an immunomodulatory probiotic screening platform based on dendritic cells differentiated from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). It overcomes the limitations of conventional blood-derived immune cells, including limited cell availability and donor-to-donor variability that can lead to inconsistent results. The platform establishes a standardized and highly reproducible in vitro screening workflow for effectively evaluating the immunomodulatory potential of probiotic strains.
As a high-throughput screening tool, this technology accelerates the identification of promising probiotic candidates while reducing research costs and animal use. In the future, the platform can be further integrated with iPSCs derived from different populations or disease backgrounds to support the development of precision probiotics and personalized health products.
